Innovation is inseparable from sustainability. NERA’s role is to support projects that benefit the whole energy resources ecosystem by improving productivity along the supply chain – across research, technology development, project design, workforce skills, better regulation, and collaboration.
Improving productivity is about understanding the economic, social and environmental implications of change and ensuring Australia’s energy resources sector is best placed to negotiate the way forward.
As the world transitions to a lower carbon energy future, Australia has a central role to play in providing energy at home and to our export customers that is cleaner – not just at the point of generation but across the life cycle – from exploration, extraction, production and transport right through to decommissioning.
