EOIs open for the Independent Science Advisory Board of the NDRI

04 December 2018

NERA is calling for expressions of interest for the Independent Science Advisory Board (ISAB) of the National Decommissioning Research Initiative (NDRI).

NERA has been established to maximise the value to the Australian economy by having an energy resources industry that is globally competitive, sustainable, innovative and diverse.

In partnership with industry, NERA is establishing the NDRI to improve the understanding of the impact of purpose-built infrastructure, particularly oil and gas, on the marine environment. The ISAB is responsible for providing guidance to maximise the quality of science under the NDRI’s research program.

At a minimum, applicants should hold a PhD with backgrounds in marine science or material degradation considered beneficial. Three members will be appointed for a 12-month term, with some compensation available for time spent on supporting the NDRI.

A CV and brief statement of interest in the ISAB (200 words max) should be emailed to andrew.taylor@nera.org.au by 21 December 2018. NERA also invites general registrations of interest through this email address.
