The GCEAF is an international meeting place for representatives from 31 countries to convene on the fast action required to deliver on global climate and clean energy ambition, including more than 100 side events hosted by governments, companies, think tanks, and others from around the world.
More than 20 representatives from across Australia’s government, industry (including industry associations), research and SME communities form the ‘Team Australia’ delegation, which is being led by the Honourable Chris Bowen MP, Australian Minister for Climate Change and Energy, and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
NERA is joining the Team Australia delegation and will be supporting four innovative technology businesses and recent LETs Pitch Australia winners Allegro Energy, Evergen, KC8 Capture Technologies and Rux Energy to join the delegation to Pittsburgh.

This side event will highlight Australia’s Powering Australia policy that is supporting innovation across industries to ensure Australia is at the forefront in a changing global economy. NERA CEO Miranda Taylor, session moderator, will be joined by Australian Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen, and leading energy experts to discuss the major opportunities and policy needed to achieve new ambitious climate goals, and share unique challenges and learnings from Australia’s decarbonisation journey.

At this side event, coordinated by NERA, key leaders from Australia’s energy landscape will discuss Australia’s decarbonisation commitments and how the country is driving the energy transition by harnessing technology. The event will culminate with a showcase of four of Australian leading low emissions technology companies and recent winners of NERA’s LETs Pitch Australia program run in partnership with the Australian Government to coincide with the GCEAF.
