Through the formation of the Hydrogen Technology Cluster Australia (H2TCA), HyCapability, and the support of technology-led solutions and initiatives such as HyResource and the ME-93 Standards Committee, NERA is assisting to decarbonise the economy and ensure access to affordable and reliable energy for all Australians.

The Australian Energy Research Capability Finder (AERCF) is a comprehensive, free online search engine built to strengthen the connection between Australia's research community and the energy resources sector. It is the most comprehensive mapping of Australia's energy research capability and digital technologies to-date.

GeneratER Program

GeneratER is a collaborative program supported by NERA, JTSI and Industry, and designed to stimulate the energy resources supply chain by identifying genuine operational challenges for the sector and using an open-source process to fast-track adoption of local technology solutions.

H2TCA is accelerating the hydrogen supply chain development by enabling vital connection, collaboration, and alignment of action across Australia. The H2TCA network reduces duplication and identifies gaps in the development, deployment, and commercialisation of new hydrogen-focused technologies and builds the skills, capability and commercialisation opportunities in the emerging hydrogen industry.

HyCapability is Australia’s first hydrogen capability finder — a free, online, searchable platform that connects Australian hydrogen businesses with a domestic and global market. The platform maps regional hydrogen ecosystems and supply chain capacity, making it easier to identify businesses along the value chain that have innovative technology, service and equipment offerings for the hydrogen industry.

NERA, CSIRO and Future Fuels CRC collaborated to develop a knowledge sharing resource supporting Australia’s hydrogen industry development. HyResource is the new single source of information on crucial hydrogen-related organisations, policies and projects for Australia and New Zealand.
