GeneratER is a collaborative program supported by NERA, JTSI and Industry, and designed to stimulate the energy resources supply chain by identifying genuine operational challenges for the sector and using an open-source process to fast-track adoption of local technology solutions.
Through the formation of the Hydrogen Technology Cluster Australia (H2TCA), HyCapability, and the support of technology-led solutions and initiatives such as HyResource and the ME-93 Standards Committee, NERA is assisting to decarbonise the economy and ensure access to affordable and reliable energy for all Australians.
NERA's H2TCA network is accelerating the hydrogen supply chain development by enabling vital connection, collaboration, and alignment of action across Australia. The H2TCA network reduces duplication and identifies gaps in the development, deployment, and commercialisation of new hydrogen-focused technologies and builds the skills, capability and commercialisation opportunities in the emerging hydrogen industry.
HyCapability is Australia’s first hydrogen capability finder — a free, online, searchable platform that connects Australian hydrogen businesses with a domestic and global market. The platform maps regional hydrogen ecosystems and supply chain capacity, making it easier to identify businesses along the value chain that have innovative technology, service and equipment offerings for the hydrogen industry.
NERA, CSIRO and Future Fuels CRC collaborated to develop a knowledge sharing resource supporting Australia’s hydrogen industry development. HyResource is the new single source of information on crucial hydrogen-related organisations, policies and projects for Australia and New Zealand.
Supported by NERA, Australia’s Energy Technology Platform is an online portal that connects technology suppliers and end-users to solve energy sector challenges and rapidly deploy technologies across specialist domains.
NERA is driving and facilitating cross-industry collaboration to establish the Centre of Decommissioning Australia (CODA) to maximise value for the Australian industry, community, environment and other stakeholders and address a shared challenge and opportunity for the sector.
NERA’s collaborative lighthouse projects, innovation funding, digital test labs, innovation hubs, technology clusters and deployment pathways support Australia’s emergence as a key player in the development and manufacturing of advanced data analytics, robotics and automation technology.
