LETs Pitch: Australia — Process

1: Technology Discovery

Australian businesses with suitable low emissions technology will submit an EOI using the prescribed online form. The form has mandatory fields and word limits, so please ensure your responses are clear and concise.

The EOI period closes at 10 pm WST on Sunday, 31 July 2022.

2: Selection and Pitch Preparedness

Our assessment panel will review all EOIs and select 10 finalists. Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified by email.

Finalists will be invited to a half-day workshop on Wednesday 17 August to refine their pitch and value proposition.

3: Virtual Pitch Battle

Each finalist will deliver a five-minute pitch about their technology to a judging panel of industry experts, followed by five minutes of Q&A at an online Pitch Battle event on Wednesday 24 August.

Judges will select three (or more) winners to join the Team Australia delegation to the first ever Global Clean Energy Action Forum (GCEAF) in Pittsburgh, United States. GCEAF is expected to be the largest international gathering of clean energy leaders this year and will include global private sector companies from dozens of countries.

NERA will subsidise the winners’ travel expenses to Pittsburgh (up to A$10,000), with two event passes to attend GCEAF 2022 and a place in Team Australia’s technology showcase.

Participating companies must organise and pay for their travel and accommodation. These can be claimed under the NERA stipend.

4: International Readiness Mentoring for GCEAF 2022

In early September, NERA will deliver tailored mentoring for winners to enhance their commercial readiness, boost business development skills, and position them to maximise their international opportunity. Winners will also have access to one-on-one mentoring leading up to GCEAF 2022.

5: Team Australia Delegation to GCEAF 2022

Winners will join the Team Australia delegation to GCEAF 2022 in Pittsburgh, United States in late September, with the event running from 21 September – 23 September 2022. Winners receive two event registrations and a ‘money can’t buy’ place in Team Australia’s showcase to promote their technology to industry leaders at this major global event.
