16 November 2022

NERA is looking for Australian companies with novel and scalable clean energy technologies who want to boost their business capability and open domestic and international opportunities to participate in LETs Pitch Australia 2023.

LETs Pitch is a supply chain development program designed to accelerate the growth of local businesses offering cutting-edge cleantech solutions.

LETs Pitch Australia 2023 is open for applications from start-up or scale-up businesses with a technology that will support Australia’s net-zero future. This includes:

  • Clean hydrogen
  • Low emissions electricity
  • Electrification & fuel switching
  • Non-energy emissions
  • Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage
  • System flexibility & integration
  • Energy efficiency & Industrial process optimisation

Eight companies will be selected to receive tailored pitch mentoring and business coaching to build their pitching capability and prepare them for a pitch event on 15 March 2023.

The pitch event will be held live on stage at the Industry Supply Forum at AOG Energy 2023 in front of a panel of industry judges and an audience from major operators, government and industry.

The LETs Pitch Australia 2023 judging panel is comprised of individuals with a wealth of experience and knowledge in marine, engineering, infrastructure, carbon capture, gas and the environment, including:

  • Russell James, ATCO
  • Joy Francis-Hayes, Copenhagen Energy
  • Professor Eric May, FEnEx CRC
  • Sam Bruce, Pollination
  • Lisa Robson, Shell Australia
  • Jason Crusan, Woodside Energy

Following the live pitch event, the eight finalists will join the NERA Technology Discovery Centre stand on day two of AOG Energy 2023, where each finalist will have an exhibitor pod on NERA’s stand to showcase their business and technology and meet with potential investors and buyers from leading energy companies.

LETs Pitch Australia 2023 is the third stream in NERA’s LETs Pitch program. In 2022, the three LETs Pitch WA winners received the opportunity to join the “Team WA” delegation to the Offshore North Sea (ONS) conference and exhibition 2022 in Norway. This event attracted nearly 62,000 visitors from over 80 countries, providing the LETs Pitch WA winners access to an international audience, of investors and decisions makers. Find out more here.

Later in 2022, another four winners from LETs Pitch Australia joined the Australian delegation to the Global Clean Energy Action Forum in Pittsburgh, USA. This three-day event was the first of its kind, with 6,000 registrations and a convention of energy ministers from across the globe. These winners were able to pitch their technology at the NERA side event to this international audience.

Applications for LETs Pitch Australia 2023 are open until 29 January 2023.
