Webinar series: Growing Australia's Oil & Gas Supply Chain

04 June 2020

Australia's oil & gas supply chain is not yet meeting its full potential and has substantial opportunities for growth. However, through a coordinated effort between suppliers, operators, governments and research organisations, it has the potential to triple in size over the next decade, adding an extra $7 billion of value (GVA) to the economy.

These are the key findings in NERA’s ‘Growing Australia’s Oil & Gas Supply Chain’ report — the first time the size and composition of Australia's oil & gas supply chain has been analysed to determine its challenges, economic potential and opportunities for growth. To unlock this potential, the Report identifies three key opportunities to strengthen local supplier capabilities that can build a more mature, resilient and competitive domestic supply chain, generating up to $49 billion GVA in 2030 — a 20-30% increase on its GVA in 2016-17.

This three-part webinar series breaks down the key findings of the report, highlighting the central challenges and growth opportunities for the supply chain, and discussing with industry innovators their insights and experience of growing domestic and global markets, as well as working in high cost environments.

We encourage you to read the Supply Chain report prior to the webinars and you can access it via this link.
